Story
Welcome to our fundraising page for Cure Parkinson’s! Read on to see how you can be part of our summer of fundraising. Thank you for your continued support, as always, Susanna Kidd and Isabella Eddington.
1 in 500 people are affected by a Parkinson’s disease in the UK, and charities like Cure Parkinson’s are Cure Parkinson's are here for the cure. Cure Parkinson’s is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s. Some experts believe a cure could be just around the corner.
This summer, as part of our MSc in Science Media Production, we are producing, filming, and directing a Documentary about living with Parkinson’s, and would love for you to be part of that journey.
The topic is particularly close to Susanna, as her Dad, David, was recently diagnosed with the the condition.
Our film will follow David as he reflects on some of life’s bigger questions, and explores ways of coping with the condition whilst still living life the full.
Our summer will be jam packed, and it’s all kicking off with a fundraising triathlon in Cornwall this July. You can sponsor our runners, Susanna and Eliza Kidd, Katie Kerridge, Joe Mellor, and Rob Fleming by donating to this page.
Later in the year we’ll be inviting friends, family, and anybody interested to a screening of the film, hopefully followed by drinks. So watch this space for updates on ticket sales!
All proceeds from our fundraising go to Cure Parkinson’s and the amazing work that they do. You can find out more about the charity here: www.cureparkinsons.org.uk
Thank you again for your continued support and for sticking by us!
Isabella and Susanna
