Story
Our very own Jim Allchin proposed that we as a school could do our own 2.6 challenges in support of Phab England. He kicked this off with running marathon distance - 66 laps of Vincent Square - on the 26th April.
Westminster School has a long history with Phab, having run a residential week for the last 44 years. Unfortunately with the current Covid-19 situation, this cannot take place this year. Because of our long association with Phab and because they, like many other charities, have lost out on huge fundraising due to cancellation of events like the London Marathon, we have chosen to fundraise for Phab through our own 2.6 challenges.
Students and some staff at Westminster School will do their own variation of the 2.6 challenge over the course of a month, starting from Wednesday 6th May all in support of Phab England.
Please show your support for them and for Phab England - every little bit counts!
See below for a little more detail on the wonderful work Phab do:
Phab brings together disabled and non-disabled people of all ages to make more life together – with exciting and challenging holiday projects for disabled and disadvantaged children and young adults, wheelchair accessible holiday homes, and 140 Phab Clubs across England and Wales with 8,000 members. Thank you for supporting Phab and Phabkids – with your help we can make a real and lasting difference to the lives of so many more children, young people and adults with disabilities, to their families and to local communities.
