My dental nurses Patty, Khai and I want to use our dental skills to help treat children in poverty, many of whom are orphans and live in constant pain from badly decayed teeth. These children have no access to dental care, have very poor diets and so desperately need our help. Burma is one of the poorest countries in the whole world.

We have volunteered to travel to the area of lake Inle for 2 weeks in November 2013, when we expect to see at least 400 child patients and through dental treatment give them immediate relief from their suffering.  We will also help to give dental health education to the children in orphanages and in addition Patty and Khai will apply fluoride to the children's teeth to help prevent further disease.

Burmadent are facilitating this trip and are giving logistical support. Whilst we are happy and proud to give our professional time to undertake this valuable work, we do need financial help to support our travel and accomodation costs, and to help fund dental supplies etc. For more information about the Burmadent charity and the fantastic work they are doing for these children, visit www.Burmadent.com
