Westies run to Haiti

Westies run to Haiti · 13 March 2018
We are the Christian Aid Westside regional team and this Christian Aid Week we would love you to support us in our pledge to run 710km of the 7137km between the UK and Haiti.
Our run is in solidarity with the people of Haiti, one of the world's poorest countries, that suffers relentlessly from disasters. The earthquake in 2010 displaced 1 million people from their homes, and 38,000 are still displaced today. Many of those whose homes were destroyed now live in houses or spaces that are not adequate for the inevitable storms and hurricanes that frequent Haiti.
People like Marcelin who now lives in an old concrete shower block measuring just 2mx2m. A tiny, hot, and claustrophobic space that he shares with his 3 teenage daughters. There are no windows or doors, and the only furniture is a tiny bed that the girls sleep on.
Please support the Westies and Marcelin by giving what you can.
Thank you!
