Help the MFB Family of Companies and the Agent Charitable Fund donate 1 million meals to families struggling with food insecurity throughout Michigan. Funds raised will support the 7 regional food banks, benefiting all 83 counties.

Story

In Michigan, one in seven children face hunger.

The Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies: Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan Farm Bureau and the Agent Charitable Fund challenge you to join us to stop childhood hunger.

The number of Michigan families struggling with food insecurity continues to grow, not only in places like Detroit, Flint and Grand Rapids, but in our rural communities throughout the state. We are taking action through the Million Meal Challenge. This challenge is an opportunity for every person who is part of our family our agents, members, insureds and staff to come together to support each other through uncertain times.

The Agent Charitable Fund and Farm Bureau Insurance will match donations dollar-for-dollar from our members, clients and supporters. Knowing every dollar equates to five meals, with your help, we can donate more than 1 million meals to Michigan families in need this fall.

About the charity

The Michigan Foundation for Agriculture supports educational efforts, leadership development and the cultivation of young leaders through numerous efforts at the local and state levels. We work to connect consumers with their food by helping youth and adults understand farming practices and how food makes transitions from the farm gate to the plate. We also strive to provide agriculturally invested folks with accurate and helpful information as well as resources.
