Fundraising for WHSmith Group Charitable Trust
Story
As part of our fundraising activity in celebration of 230
years since the Company was founded, WHSmith’s Big 230km Walk will see ten teams each walking 23km on Friday 16th September!
With the words to ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’ ringing in our
ears for inspiration, our team including colleagues from the High Street, UK Travel and International divisions will tackle the 23km course. We might not be the fastest or be wearing fancy dress and there might be a few obstacles in our way like long wavy grass,
a wide river or a dark cave but we are hoping for a beautiful day to celebrate WHSmith’s 230th anniversary!
We’ve been walking, running and cycling to get ourselves ready for the
big day and we’ve dusted off our walking boots to do our bit and support our
charities.
Through this event, we will be raising money for the WHSmith Trust (registered charity no.1013782) in order to continue our journey to make a positive difference in the communities WHSmith colleagues live and work.
The WHSmith Trust also funds several charities, including Cancer Research, National Literacy Trust and The Red Cross.
