We need your help
As a charity, we depend on your generous support to help us carry out conservation work and to improve our special places.
Wenlock Edge is an internationally important geological site in the Shropshire Hills and a natural outdoor activity centre. Many people visit Wenlock Edge and enjoy walking and horse riding in the landscape, which is full of wildlife and geology. With your support, we’d like to introduce two off-road, way-marked family friendly cycle routes.
The routes, which will be 6.5km and 12km in length, will take you through the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Both routes will start from National Trust car parks and will pass through ancient woodland and along historic disused railway lines which used to take limestone to Ironbridge.
Cycling is increasingly popular as a sustainable form of transport and it keeps us fit! The provision of some off-road cycle routes would be popular with local families and also encourage visitors from further afield to make a trip to Wenlock Edge.
Your donations will support the surfacing of the cycle routes, waymarkers, an information board and a leaflet. The total cost of the two cycle routes is £4,000, so please make a donation today. With your support, we can open up Wenlock Edge for more families to enjoy.
