Story

We are fundraising for Alder Hey Children's Charity to try to give something back as a thank you for everything they have done for our son Joseph. In his 14 years he has had 14 surgical operations at Alder Hey ranging from saving his life at 5 days old, through to life changing sacral-nerve stimulation that he was so privileged to have in 2022. Joseph was the first child in the UK to have this operation, thanks to the phenomenal work of both the Neurosurgery and Urology teams at Alder Hey. We will be forever grateful to them.

Simon is also fundraising as a thank you for the wonderful care and treatment Alder Hey provided for his daughter Ciara when she was diagnosed with HSP aged 8.

We will be challenging ourselves by taking part in this years Coniston Challenge which is a 17km bike ride through Grizedale forest, a 10km hike up and down the old man of Coniston and a 3km kayak on Coniston water.

Thank you so much for anything you are able to give to support this amazing children's hospital.
