Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year me and Graham are running the London Marathon for Yorkshire Cancer Research. Actually, I will be running and Graham will be ambling alongside trying to keep me going. We chose YCR because over the years we have known many people who's lives have been affected by cancer. This horrible disease has affected our friends, relatives, colleagues and neighbours - some have been lucky and some not so lucky. That is why research is so important to help more people become survivors.
Our main reasons for choosing Yorkshire Cancer Research.
The first is for my sister Judith who was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour and following a successful major operation she has since made a brilliant recovery and is now in remission.
The second is for our friend, John Philpott who lost his wife Joanne to cancer and raised lots of money for YCR at last years marathon.
The third is in memory of a good neighbour John Howarth who was a great supporter of Yorkshire Cancer Research.
And last but my no means least is in memory of Eileen, Grahams mum who died at a young age from cancer.
We want to help raise money for research to enable more people to recover from this disease.
