Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to St Leonard's and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now!

My friend Ruth and I will be walking the 192 miles along Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk in May.  We will be staying in B & Bs en route, and having our baggage transferred daily !  (Carrying a rucksack when I was 18 was no fun so I am certainly not going to do it  now!)

I was born in Westmorland and brought up in Cumberland going to school just down the coast from our starting point of St Bees.  I have long wanted to do this walk and am very excited, if not just a bit daunted, at the prospect !

I am hoping to raise lots of money for our village church here in Priors Marston - St Leonard's - and would be very grateful if you were able to sponsor me.  The church has been at the centre of the village for hundreds of years and today, as I'm sure has always been the case, its members are an integral part of every aspect of village life.

I want to raise money to help with the ever-increasing day to day costs of maintaining the building and help with the costs associated with the ministry here.

For 700 years the church has been at the centre of the village in times of joy and sorrow. Today its members are an integral part of every aspect of village life. Its worship, brings people together to share their faith. However, the cost of maintaining the building and ministry is high.
