Drill Sergeant Chrissie has not let me forget the crazy idea I once had to try the Great North Run. However, her persistence and constant nagging, sorry encouragement, just reflects what a great friend and support she is/has been to me. Anyway, I got my own back - she's doing it as well!!

So, two and half years since my diagnosis of breast cancer and after 3 surgeries, 16 weeks of chemotherapy, 15 blasts of radiotherapy and losing 6 and half stone I am thrilled beyond measure that I am up for giving the Great North Run a go and hopefully raise invaluable funds for Macmillan!!
