Story
To be fair I had no idea what I had said yes to when I committed to taking part in the Three Peaks challenge. Anyway, six months of training later, I appreciate the enormity of the task. If you have no idea what this means, simply put, we have to climb the three tallest mountains in the UK: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. Not only do we have to climb these picturesque ranges but we have to complete this punishing challenge in less than 24 hours. Piece of (gluten-free) cake!
We will be starting the day in Scotland climbing a whopping 1344m (4409ft) to the top of Ben Nevis. We then return to our mini-bus for a little road trip to the beautiful Lake District to climb England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike 978m (3209ft). Then, last but not least, we head down to North Wales where all 1085m (3560ft) of Snowdon will be waiting to finish us off.
The three of us featured above are taking part and start climbing on 20 August. I am hoping to raise money for three charities; Meningitis UK, Cancer Research UK and Thames Valley Air Ambulance, so thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This page is dedicated to raising money for Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
