Story
Edward is 32, has severe learning difficulties, suffers from epilepsy and is autistic. He has done the Children in Need challenge for a number of years. In June of this year, he had a bad fall after having a seizure, he broke his arm and his shoulder, and broke his three front teeth. After a short stay in hospital, he has undergone numerous dental treatments and is still having regular physio therapy to repair his arm and shoulder. He is doing well but will probably never gain full use of his shoulder. Physical exercise has been a great help in his recovery, especially swimming.
His challenge will be to swim 100 lengths of the pool, walk 10,000 steps and either cycle or walk on the treadmill a distance of 10 kilometres, He will be doing the challenge starting on 1st November and continuing up to Children in Need day. He will be supported throughout by his parents and also his carers, Jak, Julie and Andrew
We decided to set him this challenge which will not only raise money for the Children in Need Rickshaw Challenge, but will also aid him in his recovery from his injuries. Please support if you can and help him beat the amount of £314 which he raised last year. Any amount, however small, will be really appreciated.
Thank you.
