The Princess Alice Hospice is an amazing place. Their special staff and volunteers provide phenomenal love and care to a host of patients and their families focusing on free holistic and palliative care for patients with advanced illness and those approaching the end of their lives.

Clive's cancer took over in the middle of 2011 and throughout his illness the hospice provided him with support at home by means of regular visits from our wonderful community nurse and support workers who liased with people around us to make sure Clive was comfortable and secure at home. They provided him with super massages to make sure he had treats when others would refuse to treat him as they were unsure of his medical condition. They were always there to answer endless numbers of questions from both of us (and the children) and never once made us feel as though we were being a pain.

In the hospice where he was for the last few days of his life there was nothing that was too much trouble. He felt very secure and all of his problems were tackled by the nurses and doctors with skill, respect and love. I cannot stress what an INCREDIBLE job everyone at the Princess Alice does as they were with us all the way through a rollercoaster ride of terminal cancer.
