Story

Hello. My name is Wendy and on World Book Day I will be starting the Bookworm Challenge for BCHC. I am going to try to read as many books as I can between 5th March and midnight on 4th April. I love reading and am an avid supporter of the charity, having seen first hand what a difference they can make to patients and their families, so I thought why not combine the two and do something to help. You can sponsor me per book, a lump sum or just share my page. Anyway you can support is very much appreciated. I will update my page regularly to let you all know how I am getting on.

BCHC Charity's mission is to enhance patient experience and improve their time within the care of BCHC services by funding the extras that are not covered by the core NHS funds. These extras are the sorts of things that bring a smile to our patients and their families and carers, and can range from smaller things like books, toys and toiletries all the way up to huge projects like our therapeutic playground for children with prosthetic limbs. Weve renovated garden areas, funded beautiful murals, thrown festive parties with food, drink and gifts, provided sensory lighting spaces, entertained patients with music, magic and days out, and loads more!
