Story
To celebrate the easing of Lockdown restrictions and as a way of coming together as a house again, Hill Side wanted to do some sort of house event. The boys then heard about what had happened to the daughter of one of Hill Side's kitchen staff. Sarah's daughter Molly, had COVID-19 and like most children exhibited mild symptoms. However she went on to develop a significant systemic inflammatory response called PIMS-TS and had to be rushed up to the PICU at the Evelina. Thankfully they had seen this in a few other children and knew how to treat it. She has since gone on to make a full recovery. So the boys of Hill Side decided to run a charity event and raise money in support of the fundraising Molly herself has been doing for the Evelina...........and so the 24hour Footy Match was dreamed up! The boys will volunteer to cover segments across the event with our intrepid Head of House, Harry Hewitt, doing all 24hours.
The Evelina Children's Hospital is part of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. Money raised will help the hospital provide the extras to patients, under their care, making the time they spend in hospital just a little bit better.
