Ironman Wales 2012 · 16 September 2012 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2012 I face my biggest sporting challenge to date, I face Ironman Wales head on, this is more then just a race its a test of physical and mental strength.
The Ironman triathlon is made up of a 2.4 mile open water swim, a change of clothes and I'll be jumping on to my bike and cycling 112 miles through the stunning Pembrokeshire scenery, another change and then I face the final challenge: a full marathon 26.2 miles of running.
When i entered the Ironman I knew I wanted to use that journey to raise money for charity, so many deserving charities around I wasn't sure which to choose but when my Nan passed away in October and donations to British Heart Foundation were requested over flowers I knew this would be my charity for the Ironman and in memory of my Nan I will cross that finish line even if it takes me the full 17 hour time restriction.
Please support BHF by donating whatever you can, and if anyone would like to support me on the day I would love to see you all, its going to be a long day and I will definitely benefit from seeing friendly faces, the Ironman is held at Tendy, Wales on September 16th 2012, this is my first triathlon, I can't wait: bring on the challenge!
and just a word or two about how to donate...
