Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was supposed to be running this last year with Jasmine (My daughter) and I got injured and was unable to run, so here I am a year later, having done LOADS of training over the winter (YUK!) and fingers crossed, fit and ready to do it this year.

We previously ran Edinburgh in 2013 and I would like to beat my time of 6:26:33.

The reason we picked CLIC Sargent is because they helped Jasmine's friend who sadly died of cancer 6 years ago at the ridiculous young age of 25. He was such a sweet guy and I am sure he is still sorely missed by his friends and family.

I need to raise £500 and I am sure with your donations however large or small I can do this.

Please remember that you are sponsoring me, not just for the 26.2 miles that I will run (and walk!) on the 12 April 2015 but for all the miles of winter training in the COLD, WET, WIND and MUD (grim!) it takes a special type of nutcase to put themselves through this torture, but I AM that nutcase!

I figure instead of bitching about how cold and tired I am, and how much I ache all over and how much my legs and feet and ankles hurt. I can remember that some people cannot walk, or run, or breathe properly or even get through a day without pain and suffering, through no fault of their own.  So, yes, I am getting on a bit, overweight, eat too much chocolate and complain a lot, but it is all temporary.  It will pass.  I will get warm again, my bones and legs will stop aching, I will sleep well and wake refreshed, and I will eat more chocolate.
AND I WILL BEAT THIS BLOODY MARATHON COURSE! For all those who are unable to do all the things that we take for granted.

So PLEASE dig deep and sponsor me for whatever you can. All you have to do is put your hand down the back of the sofa or raid your piggy bank for the price of a couple of pints, packet of fags, a night out or even a days wages. It may not be much to you, but it will mean so much to others.

THANK YOU
