Story
Good morning, good afternoon, good evening I hope this reaches you all well.
My friend Jamie Marriott and I are cycling from our home city of Portsmouth, leaving May 25th, to the Russian city of Volgograd over 2,300 miles away, in time to watch England’s opener in the Volgograd Arena on June 18th.
We’re cycling in aid of The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK, and in memory of my youth football coach and strong family friend, Brian Randall, who so sadly passed away at the beginning of this year. ‘Big Bri’ was a larger than life character who invested so much of his time and effort into making sure that Bosham F.C. was a success, it couldn’t have been done without him and he’ll be missed by everyone whose life he touched. RIP big fella.
Jamie and I have, between us, attended most home and away England games since 2012 and so understand how extraordinary we are as a set of supporters, truly the best in the world. Take the pre match rendition of ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ in the Stad de France last year for example. Therefore I hope that between us we can smash that target and raise far more for an unbelievable cause.
Thank you,
Mitchell Jones and Jamie Marriott
