Story

A group of Wellington 6th years and staff are taking on The Firewalk Challenge on 25th January 2020 to raise money and awareness for Epilepsy Scotland.

The challenge is to cross the distance of 65 feet over hot coals, to mark 65 years of Epilepsy Scotland.

In Scotland 55,000 people are affected by epilepsy.  Children and older people are most at risk of developing this common serious neurological condition but anyone can develop epilepsy at any time, and eight people a day in Scotland do.

Epilepsy Scotland want to make sure the needs of people with epilepsy are met, by campaigning for improved healthcare, better information provision and an end to stigma.
