Tour de Trussell · 18 May 2019 to 19 May 2019 ·
Five members of Wellcome's senior leadership team have taken on the challenge of the 'Tour de Trussell' in May this year, to raise money to support the Trussell Trust.
This 126 mile cycle challenge covers the distance between The Trussell Trust's main distribution hubs, Coventry and Salisbury. The ride will be tough, but the group are cycling for a great cause, to raise money for the Trussell Trust which strives to end hunger in the UK. The Trust supports a nationwide network of food banks providing emergency food and support to people locked in poverty. It also campaigns for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
Last year The Trussell Trust gave 1,332,952 emergency food supplies to people in crisis across the UK. Your support will enable their network of over 420 foodbanks to provide the emergency food and services so desperately needed.
The team has been training hard, so please do help Mary De Silva, Howie Frumkin, Anne-Marie Coriat, Chris Bird and Jim Smith on their way to meeting their goal of raising £3,000 for the Trussell Trust and making that training worthwhile.
