Run for Refugees · 12 November 2015

Cohere is transforming communities by transferring power within the response to refugee crises. To make the most effective and sustainable change, we work closely together with local refugee-led organisations (RLOs), who know exactly what's needed to address the challenges their communities face.

Story

As part of our Mission we shall be hosting a “Run for Refugees” competition between the four Lines of the College; Campion, Shireburn, St Omers and Weld. Every member of the school will take part and collectively contribute to a Line total of laps up and down the Avenue between The Lions and Our Lady’s Statue. All fundraising from this event will go to the Xavier Project, which is an education charity in Eastern Africa. They provide refugees with the crucial educational opportunities they so desperately need and deserve to facilitate positive changes in their lives.

Named after Thomas Weld, who donated the building to the Jesuits in 1794.
