About Sing for Water London
Sing for Water was initiated by composer Helen Chadwick as a project to raise money for WaterAid at The Thames Festival in 2002. Mass choral events now take place across the country and have raised over £1.2 million for WaterAid's life-saving projects providing clean water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities. This year's fundraising will support WaterAid projects in Malawi.
Covid-19 is devastating for communities without clean water and sanitation, so it is really important we continue to support WaterAid at this challenging time.
About WaterAid
Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good. With clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, children are born healthier. They get the chance to go to school and grow up to become adults. Women and men get to earn a living. Whole communities start to thrive. It sounds normal and it should be.
