Fundraising for Blood Cancer UK
Story
Tom 'Badger' Moore played for Weirside Rangers for 10 years+ and was my strike partner for a number of those years.
He stepped away from the club when his son Archie was born a few years ago to his wife Katie. His work commitments at the Premier League also having an influence.
In Sept 2013 Tom was diagnosed with Leukaemia. Unfortunately in January 2014 the sad news was announced that Tom had passed away.
The Premier League have hosted a couple of fantastic events for Tom, this is just a little something to raise a bit of money for a great charity; Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
Bupa South 10 mile Run
My brother Rick and I have signed up to the Bupa 10 mile run in Portsmouth which will take place on Sunday 26th October and we'll both be raising money for the charity and running in memory of Tom.
Neither of us have run the distance before or competed in a timed race so it'll be a new experience.
It would be wonderful if you can spare a few pounds for a great cause.
