Controllers, in all their many forms, are one of the main ways to explore thousands of video game worlds - the key to traversing an ever-growing collection of interactive universes that we, as players, can have some sort of impact in.
But for some, this is not possible - not through a lack of wanting, but due to physical disabilities. And that is not on! That is why we have once again joined in on the collective effort of many livestreamers to raise money for SpecialEffect, this time through GameBlast22!
SpecialEffect are a UK-based charity devoted to helping those with physical disabilities experience the joy of video games through personalised technology. By donating to this fundraiser, you will be funding the equipment and support needed to help hundreds of people who would have otherwise missed out on so many video game experiences.
Team WeirdBlast are back and bigger! Last year, we aimed to raise £1,000 through the unified livestreaming efforts of Scarfulhu, Laura Petal, Ebak the Cat and myself... and ended up raising more than double that amount in £2,151!
This year, we're aiming to fly even further, with a main target of £2,500! And to help try and raise this much, us four are joining forces with the Buddy Games trio of WhaddupNico, Professor Juice and Liam!
We have singleplayer and multiplayer games galore on all five of our Twitch channels for all three days - that's 60 hours of gameplay planned in total! Plus, we have various future livestream promises you can earn by donating more to this page!
For every £100 raised, you'll get something randomly drawn from a list of tombola rewards from one of us, except for every £500 raised where you'll get something special from all of us instead!
Our full livestreaming schedules and donation rewards can be found posted in our respective Twitter accounts, with a thread Pinned at the top of Twitter.com/WeirdFTW! Keep an eye out on any and all of our accounts for updates!
