Story
Butterwick House is special to our family as they provided specialist round the clock care to my nephew who sadly passed in January of this year, aged just 15.
For years they provided him with a bright and happy environment where he was able to make the most of every moment, whether that be playing games, using specialist computers and enjoying arts and crafts. He was especially fond of the visits from the emergency services in the area who would sound the sirens and flash the wonderful lights.
The care team is comprised of wonderful Registered Sick Children’s Nurses, Registered Learning Disability Nurses nursery nurses, health care assistants and trained volunteers who make sure all young visitors are well cared for, happy, safe, are listened to and have fun.
Butterwick House can only continue to care for those individuals who need our special care and experienced understanding, thanks to the generous support from our wonderful community of volunteers, partners, donors, funders, shoppers, supporters and staff.
Anything you can donate to this wonderful charity will be greatly received and will positively impact someone in the North-East.
Thanks for taking the time to read,
Wayne
