Wayne Piggott’s 50th Testimonial
My Dad, Wayne Piggott should have celebrated his 50th birthday on March the 5th 2019. Wayne was a family man, a devoted father and a friend of many. However, on the 26th of April at just 29 years old, he suffered a fatal cardiac arrest leaving my Mom with me aged just five weeks old and my sister, 2 years old. The root cause of this was later discovered to be dilated cardiomyopathy, a disease which no 29 year old dad should even hear of. Dilated cardiomyopathy is enlargement of the heart, which speaks volumes in itself.
To remember my Dad on his Birthday l have organised a charity football match in his memory as my Dad loved his football and ran a Sunday Football Club.
My friends are going to play against my Dad’s friends and ex teammates at 1:30pm on March 3rd 2019 at Dormston school . Afterwards we are having a gathering at The Three Crowns pub, Dovedale Road Woodcross. Where everyone is most welcome and a buffet will be provided.
I am asking for a donation towards the cardiomyopathy society. A charity me and my family have worked very closely with since Dad’s passing. This charity helps others that are in the same situations that Wayne once was. It is also a charity that will support famillies that have experienced the same tragic loss as we have.
Please support this great charity and feel free to come along to the game at Dormston school.
National Grid will also be matching donations upto £400 given to this great cause
