Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On May 13th 2002 my wonderful wife gave birth to our third child and our first and only son, Samuel, at 10 am in the morning. When I had the chance to hold hm a few minutes later he was a very healthy 8 lb 4 ounces and crying well. Seconds later he stopped crying and became dusky - leaving the hospital staff to rush him away and treat him immediately. The care and attention he received over the next few weeks in reaction to his collapsed lungs saved his life and ensured he was able to develop into the 6 foot tall 14 year old lad he is today - for which my family will be eternally grateful to all at the Rotherham Hospital Special Care Baby Unit.
I ran the London Marathon last year and raised an amazing amount of money for my employers chosen charity, Support Dogs. This year I managed to gain a ballot place and wanted to run again but this time for a charity close to my heart. I have no target to achieve but would welcome any donations you could make to support a SCBU which is vital in those early seconds and minutes for some families and their babies.
