I'm sure many of us have been touched by cancer, either personally or through family or friends.

I entered the 1993 London marathon and decided to raise money for Cancer Research Wales and Velindre Hospital. It was my first marathon. 

A little under three months later, I received my own cancer diagnosis and shortly after that, following two lots of surgery, I was an inpatient at Velindre, receiving radiotherapy treatment.

The London marathon in 2023 will be the 30th anniversary of my first marathon and my diagnosis. I'm running in memory of all loved ones lost to this terrible disease.  Please support me on this anniversary challenge to give hope to those currently on their cancer journey by funding the amazing work done by Cancer Research Wales.
