Story
I want to purchase a bike that wheelchairs can be fitted onto, to enable the people I support to be able to explore and experience their environment to the fullest extent. Some of the guys have experienced and enjoyed this previously using an organisation that unfortunately no longer offers this.
For them to have their own bike would mean an ability to enjoy the local countryside in a new way and this could also be used by the wider Thera community.
At Thera Scotland, our vision is that all people with a learning disability can receive the appropriate support to become an active part of society and enjoy family, a career, hobbies and home Just like everybody else. To achieve this we combine bespoke funded day to day care with voluntary funded additional support to build confidence and independence in all areas of life including relationship building, careers and training, housing, and achieving personal goals.Thera (Scotland) is a non-profit company (#SC322014) which is part of Thera Trust (charity #1090163).
