As an independent charity Hertfordshire Community Foundation (HCF) encourages local giving to make Hertfordshire a better place to live, for everyone.

Donations are used to provide grants for families in crisis, grassroots charities & voluntary groups, helping some of Hertfordshire’s most vulnerable residents.

Over the past 3 decades HCF has funded thousands of local initiatives addressing complex social issues including domestic abuse, learning difficulties, bereavement, homelessness, mental health & many more.  More recently, fundraising has helped those residents that have been severely impacted by the pandemic.  As the impact continues to unfold demand for support is growing now more than ever.
