Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 4th December 2013 our youngest daughter Leah was diagnosed with a brain tumour called Medullablastoma, after 4 operations and numerous set backs Leah kept smiling her way through 9 months chemotherapy.
At the end of October 2014 we heard the news that we had been wanting to hear - Leah had beaten Cancer. We had a great couple of months and the best Christmas ever. The time soon passed and before we knew it Leah's first re scan and check up was upon us. This is when our lives changed yet again! We were given the devastating news that the tumour had grown back. Leah has under gone more chemotherapy as well as a 6 week course of radiotherapy followed by another 6 months of chemotherapy which she completed in December 2015. We have started 2016 with the great news that yet again Leah has beaten cancer.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
