UPDATE.....HAVE DECIDED TO CYCLE 70 MILES INSTEAD OF THE 50!!!!!
A little about me.......Having spent most of my life being totally unfit, and tragically overweight, a year ago i decided that enough was enough, and joined a gym (again!) This time however, i have stuck to it, and my new exercise regime
It has definately been an uphill struggle, having torn both calf muscles, pulled back muscles, and broken bones, not to mention the occasional bruise and injury from wayward squash balls.
So here i am, a year on, over 5 stone lighter, and possibly the fittest i have been in well over 25 years, and feeling good for it too.
Whilst i am still training at the local gym and playing squash, my new found hobby is cycling. There is definately something relaxing about being out on the open road, and for me, cycling is perfect. So i thought, why not use my cycling to help others.
Having never participated in any sort of charity work before, i decided what better way to help than to cycle for charities. My first one being around the Isle of Wight in September. I have also entered myself for the London to Brighton ride next year. My ultimate goal will be to cycle across the country from Lands end to John-o-Groats, although that one is a little way off yet.
Any help in the way of donations from anyone will be greatly appreciated.........You can sponsor me for this ride by texting IOWR70 £5 to 70070, or online on this page.
