Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On 15 September 2017, a group of intrepid (and possibly foolish!) marine consultants from Waves Group will be taking part in the OSCAR Dragon Boat Race to raise money for lifesaving research into childhood cancers and immune diseases.
The OSCAR campaign is a funding partnership which unites the international shipping community to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital and its research partner, the Institute of Child Health.
The campaign is led by Phil Parry, Chairman of Spinnaker Consulting Limited, whose son Oscar was diagnosed with leukaemia at just three years old and over five years, received life-saving transplants at GOSH.
Oscar was nominated to become the first patient in the UK to receive a stem cell transplant. He is living proof of the importance of pioneering research. For more information, please visit: http://www.gosh.org/get-involved/philanthropy/how-you-can-support-us/oscar
Every penny raised will help fund ground-breaking new research into childhood disease, so that the hospital's researchers and clinicians can save even more lives of children facing illnesses like leukaemia.
This is a fantastic cause and we will be grateful for any support that you can offer.
