As part of Wates Diamond Challenge, the Wates Construction NorthEast and North West teams will be putting aside their rivalry and meeting in themiddle – literally – of Hadrian’s Wall, all to persuade you to spare some cash in support of Wates’ chosen charity TCV. Their two-day hike of around 70km for each team sees them trek through the wilderness (and yes, that includes Newcastle!) for between 8 and 9 hours each day with the hopes of raising £10,000 for The Community Volunteering charity. TCV aims to bring people and places together to create happier communities for everyone. Through their connection of people with volunteering projects, they improve people’s wellbeing, skills, environment and connect people to the communities around them – communities that all too often remain separate and individualised. Now, the North East and North West teams need your help to  raise as much money as they can to support small community projects around the country.Any donation will be much appreciated by all the team.
