Story

Assalamualaikum! Hello!

Thank you for clicking this far.

After a long time of wishful thinking and hoping, it's finally happening!

In June 2023, we will be heading to Palestine with a delegation from the Manchester-based charity, Action for Humanity.

Throughout the trip, we will be visiting and supporting their incredible Water Projects, as well as taking part in a 10km Walk for Water Challenge through Jerusalem.

There are 785 million people in the world who do not have access to basic drinking water. A further 2 billion people use a drinking water source contaminated with faeces, which can transmit potentially fatal diseases.

Can you imagine? Having to drink water contaminated with literal toilet matter? It really makes you think how fortunate we are that we have access to immediate clean water, whenever we want, however we want. We even have different types of clean water -  bottled, tap, filtered!

No one should be without safe water. That's why we're supporting Action For Humanity, and their sustainable, well-researched projects where they aim to increase access to safe, clean drinking water and sanitation facilities across the globe.

This time, we're raising specifically for communities in Palestine and the West Bank. The Water Projects consist of:

  • 💧 water trucking
  • 💧 rehabilitating water tanks
  • 💧 supplying pipes
  • 💧 installing solar power for sustainability
  • 💧 reducing electricity interruptions
  • 💧 improving water supply systems
  • 💧 educating local communities on safe water practices

I ask humbly for you to donate any amount you can to this cause.

‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]l

The Projects will be for all communities located within the areas, regardless of background.

Please keep the Palestinian people, and everyone going through difficulty, in your prayers. May Allah grant them ease.

Thank you! 💚🤍❤️

May He give equal portion of the reward of your donation for every person you donate for, and may He accept this project from us all, in the hopes that we make a huge difference to as many lives as possible, Aameen.

Note: We will be sharing videos and photos of your donations being used on this project throughout our trip and promise 100% transparency in everything raised. The cost of the trip is paid for ourselves and does not come out of the funds raised.

When emergencies strike, we act and mobilise. We respond immediately to ensure the most vulnerable are protected, their basic needs are met, and lives are saved. Our work is driven by immediate response and effective delivery, but we stay long after a disaster to help restore lives. As an NGO we are guided by our drive to help others, not profit. When emergencies strike, we act to ensure to save lives and protect the vulnerable. When the emergency is over, we stay and help restore lives. We were founded in 2011 in the UK by a group of doctors whose sole focus was to provide assistance and aid to those devastated by conflict. For over a decade we have built an expertise in responding to humanitarian needs to benefit the most vulnerable people affected by conflict, disasters and extreme poverty.
