Story
The world has turned a blind eye to the drought in Somaliland and Puntland where 1.3 million people are at risk of acute food insecurity and the humanitarian community has lost sight of how to address it.
I just came back from Somaliland where I went as part of a delegation to assess the drought and its impact on the families who lost all their livestock which is the source of their livelihood. Met women and children who walked for 20 days and more to seek aid. They are displaced, hungry and lost everything but their faith.
While I can't reverse the effects of global climate change I can advocate for taking measures to address it and I'll do my best to raise both awareness and fund to save their lives.
Time is essence and the time to act is now, help me save lives in Somaliland by providing clean access to water.
