“It is the month of patience, and the reward of patience is Heaven. It is the month of charity, and a month in which a believer's sustenance is increased.” (Ibn Khuzaymah)
Water is the best of charities!
Water is mentioned 63 times in the Quran, and every prophet in our holy book has a story that relates closely to water. It’s no wonder that providing water is considered one of the greatest charities in Islam.
Clean water saves lives, but it also creates jobs, improves health, and empowers people. Together, we can ensure that vulnerable communities can have access to clean, safe water for years to come.
£100 can ensure 10 Rohingya refugees living in Jamtoli camp, Bangladesh, are no longer at risk of disease, infection and devastating floods by helping us to rehabilitate latrines and construct vital water drainage systems.
Residents here urgently need new latrines and a water system, and access to information about good hygiene so that they can fight the spread of disease before it’s too late. It can be extremely hard to stay clean living in a refugee camp, but without hygienic toilets and a water system, it is all but impossible.
Help us improve the living conditions of Rohingya families, who have been forgotten and neglected after having survived brutal persecution and hardship in their homeland.
Now is the time to help Rohingya families, and reap the multiplied blessings of Ramadan.
