Story
Our dad has been living with Dementia for three years now and we have watched him regress in front of our eyes. We have both witnessed first hand what this terrible disease can do to families not just to the person themselves but also their loved ones. Lockdown hasn't been easy for anyone, especially for families living with Dementia. It exacerbated his condition and sadly we had to move him into a Care Home.
Dad's diagnosis, has inspired us to take on a challenge. The Challenge we have decided on is a 26 mile walk through the streets on London in June this year to raise funds and awareness for Dementia UK.
If you would like to support us in this challenge please donate, however small, to my Just Giving Page.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
