Story
Before Stewart died we discussed whether to have flowers. The answer was no. Instead we decided between us to raise money for replacement curtains in the male bay of Ward 6 where Stewart’s condition was assessed. While receiving the diagnosis of terminal lung cancer we were not awarded the privacy and dignity that one would expect at such a difficult time as the curtains did not meet! We decided there and then that the purchase of new curtains would be something that we could provide that would give patients in the future less of a stressful experience at such a difficult time and would be a “fitting” tribute to Stewart.
