Story
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity. Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.
Jaffa was relinquished into the care of the Walsall Borough Branch of Cats Protection after being found fitting in a garden and drenched in an oily substance. We rushed him to the emergency vet where he was bathed and assessed.
The fits have stopped but poor Jaffa is underweight and very matted with scabs and dead skin. Our volunteers have spent hours grooming and bathing him to get him to this point, but we have some way to go.
Jaffa is estimated to be about 16/17 years of age and is such a sweet boy, he accepted his regular grooming and bathing sessions well but did make a couple of escape attempts out of the sink.
We are raising funds for Jaffa’s veterinary cost as his treatment is ongoing. So far he has appointments for dental work, x-rays, shaving his matted fur and an investigation into problems with his back legs.
A donation from you can help with the costs of his veterinary care, food and any medication he may be prescribed.
All funds raised above and beyond those needed to help Jaffa, will be used to help the other cats in the branch's care.
