This July, Jim Lee, Jez McCole and Dan Wootton are riding across England. We start at Walney Island, on England's west coast, and over 3 days and 172 miles (276 km), make our way over the hills of the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Moors, to Whitby on the east coast. If you're interested, you can check out the route here.
As well as having a bit of fun, We're aiming to raise some money along the way for Hospice Africa , who provide Palliative Care to cancer and HIV/AIDS patients in Sub-Saharan Africa. Many of these people have no access to basic care such as pain relief, and the work of Hospice Africa makes a real difference in providing this. Our good friend Lou Millington has worked for Hospice Africa in Uganda, and through this we have discovered that this organisation can make big differences to people's lives with relatively small amounts of money. They also have very low admin costs, so you can be sure your money is being put to good use.
