Story
Well it’s that time of year when I’m asking for your support once more to help a wonderful charity.
In October I will be circumnavigating the island of Majorca. I will be avoiding the sea. the sangria and hopefully the sun to cycle over 300km and climb over 3000m in, funnily enough, 3 days. This is about as much fun as a chap can have on a bike without going down on the drops, but make no mistake it will be a challenge!
I am undertaking this foolhardy mission on behalf of Samaritans, an organisation that supports some of the most vulnerable people in our society, dealing with difficult, sometimes very personal and often deeply distressing issues.
It’s an organisation which is so often the only thing between a person and an unthinkable alternative. Samaritans receives 5 million calls for help every year and those calls are answered by over 20,000 volunteers any time day or night, 365 days a year. Samaritans is funded almost entirely from voluntary donations and they desperately need our help to continue this wonderful work.
I am going to do what I can, please support me and give what you can.
Wish me luck
Wallace
