Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My 13 year old Jack Russell terrier Bridget died suddenly on 6 Jan. 2022 of a suspected stroke due to possible brain tumour :(.

She was so special to me, helping me through my own cancer diagnosis right from when I got her as a puppy in 2008. She loved camping and hiking, footling around in the Stables with me when I tended the Yard and the Horses (often sneaking off into the muck heap!)

She loved everyone she met and was the best little dog!

I want to raise money to help vital research into canine health. I reckoned I would hike a new route every day for the month of Feb. 2022. I have my own physical challenges since cancer and Bridget always helped me through the tough times.

I did some epic hikes last Feb. and each Winter going forward, want to continue the 'Walks for Bridget', with new and challenging hikes in Snowdonia, the Brecon Beacons and other exciting wild places.

I encourage others to go out exploring with their dogs some of the wonderful landscape and Natural environment available to us in Britain. Regardless of ability, Nature is for everyone :).

Tag your walks on Social Media with #walksforBridget and any donation, large or small is appreciated! :)
