Walk of Hope 2021
Campaign by Brain Tumour Research (RCN England and Wales 1153487, Scotland SC046840)
Ever-popular and attracting more supporters than ever, the national fundraising event Brain Tumour Research Walk of Hope is back, taking place on Saturday 25th September 2021. Will you step forward?

Story

My family and I are taking on the "walk of hope" on 25th of September.  My parents will be taking on the stairway to heaven walk (no mean feat for 2 people of nearly 60). I personally am going to tackle the Mourne mountains 7-7s challenge for this amazing cause. This will be a massive hike over each of the 7 tallest mountains in the mournes, covering 18 miles (29km) and 8500 feet of ascent/descent. This will also involve the navigation between each peak and many hard miles through bogs, rough terrain, long grass and everything else the mournes have to offer. I have no doubt that this will be as hard or harder than the mourne wall challenge that I did back I'm June but if it helps make a difference then I will do every step with pleasure.

Please donate if you can and share to help me raise money to find a cure for this horrible disease. And please, if you feel up to it, feel free to join me on this amazing adventure/challenge. It will be tough but such an accomplishment WHEN we finish ⛰💪

The 7 mountains are as follows (in order of size).

Slieve Donard 860m

Slieve Commedagh 765m

Slieve Binnian 747m

Slieve Bearnagh 727m

Slieve Meelbeg 708m

Slieve Meelmore 704m

Slieve Lamagan 704m
