Sheffield Music School is a unique place to make music in the city. Our classes work in mainly small groups, with bespoke support available to every child. We try and encourage varied music making from classical, to jazz, to pop and beyond whilst always bearing each individual in mind. Many are unable to access our resources due to financial and circumstantial issues and we feel it is important we are able to support children both by creating a safe and encouraging place for music making, but also to make every type of music making valued and supported. We also wish to support our teachers who work on a self employed basis. During the current and ongoing global situation, many face hardships, and continuing musical connections with students is very important. We aim to take music school online in the most efficient, safe and positive way possible. The more time and resources we have, the better a platform we can build to help students continue playing and create together.
