Story
Coast - 2 - Coast 2021 Walking for Sean.
Sunday 26 September - Sunday 10 October.
Thanks everyone for your kind donations but don’t forget your guesses!
We have rescheduled the walk starting on the 26th September so you are still very welcome to tag along at anytime. Five of us are doing the whole walk; Mick & Bernie Crossey, Stuart Kent, Leanda Mould and Andy Hall.
Our son, Sean Crossey, husband to Laura and brother to Emma and Kate, died on the 19th September 2018 after a two-year fight against an aggressive, glioblastoma brain tumour, grade 4. In 2014 Sean, myself and Stuart Kent along with various friends walked the famous Wainwright’s Coast to Coast walk. In memory of Sean we are walking the C2C again to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. We have resurrected the “Beer Counter” app that Sean designed for 2014 where you have a guess, for a donation of course, of collectively how many pints we drink in total on the walk of everyone that takes part. I have put up a prize and we already have two sponsors as Cormac, Sean’s good friend and former boss from Intuitive has offered a generous donation. In addition, our local pub where Sean used to enjoy the odd pint of Guinness, The Squirrel in Booker, High Wycombe have offered a lovely meal for four to whoever gets closest to the figure. This is an appeal with a difference as rather than just asking for money at least our donors can follow us on our blog and win something!
The rules are simple but please remember to include your name, as some are only shown as ‘anonymous’, with your donation and have a guess of collectively how many pints of beer will be drunk in total during the course of the two weeks by everyone who walks as part of C2C Walking for Sean 2021
We raised over two thousand pounds when we did the walk in 2014 so it would be great if we could significantly beat that figure in 2021.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Every little helps as only 1 percent of money raised for cancer research goes towards brain tumours so please have a guess with your donation. Our best wishes and heartfelt thanks, Bernie, Jo, Laura, Emma & Kate. Thanks also from Mick, Leanda, Stuart and Andy.
