Story
Why on Earth are we doing this?!
In early October, Margaret Green Animal Rescue took in 25 of 96 dogs which were rescued from a puppy farm in Devon. These dogs were in a horrendous state and just their initial vet bills were estimated to be in excess of £15,000. Full story here https://www.margaretgreenanimalrescue.org.uk/PuppyFarming2022
We couldn't stop thinking about these poor animals, and were so grateful to Margaret Green Animal Rescue and the other organisations that took in these dogs. But that's just one story - over their 3 centres, MG care for over 1,200 animals each year! This is a local institution with headquarters in Church Knowle, Dorset.
We had to do something, so why not 1 mile for each of the dogs rescued from the puppy farm? 25 miles from the Church Knowle Centre to Weymouth on Saturday 19th November. We're expecting it to take around 12 hours and be a gruelling hike along the coast path (exact route TBC).
We are not experienced walkers! This will not be easy! And we've given ourselves only a few weeks to prepare! But support us and Margaret Green, and we will not let you and those puppers down.
Thank you
Lord help us.
