Thankyou so much for supporting my fundraising.
As some of you are aware my Dad has had quite a ride with ongoing health issues over the years and HE IS STILL HERE, fighting, surviving and making precious memories with my amazing family. If you were to ask him how he is, he always, with a smile says ‘Fine’ and then usually diverts the conversation straight back to you and asks how you are instead. The strength, courage and faith he continues to practise is truly inspirational.
Last year he was unfortunately diagnosed with the dreaded Cancer and for him this was just yet another diagnoses to which we were ready to battle. We have recently been told that his cancer is inoperable due to him not being strong enough to survive the anaesthetic. This was quite a blow for us all but we pray that it is slow growing and he still has many happy years ahead of him, with us all!
I have recently been in contact with a family friend who unfortunately has also been diagnosed with Cancer - Paul Harrison. Instead of wallowing Paul has decided to walk the Dedham Vale to give something back. Well I can safely say Moo Moo and I have been inspired to not sit and worry but to in fact get up, get moving, and get fund raising. So we have decided to walk with Paul and hundreds of other people in the Dedham Vale this July.
Macmillan, give people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are their worries. They’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help they can’t support everyone who needs them.
