Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Only one of us undertaking this 10K walk is super-fit (she's got the map & torch and is the computer genius) - the other two have sore feet and the oldest (a grandmother) will be marching round the rugged coast of Portpatrick as a rubber ducky. Please give generously to the National Autistic Society, for every £10 you donate, they provide and train befrienders for kids.

Befrienders are big hearted volunteers who give up a few hours each week to take young people out on an activity. It makes a huge difference to that young person's quality of life. Jack is the son of one of the walkers who benefited from a befriender. He and his befriender spent every Sunday afternoon together for a year, giving his mum some free time to spend with her other child. Jack would like other families to experience this kind of help.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
